2026 Ida Ballard Simon Memorial Golf Tournament and Scholarship Awards Update

Due to an ongoing family health situation, the 2026 Ida Ballard Simon (IBS) Memorial Golf Tournament will not be planned or held. Traditionally, IBS Memorial Golf Tournaments are scheduled for or near the last Saturday in April.

If circumstances allow, a fundraiser may be scheduled later in the year.

Our commitment to awarding scholarships in honor of Ida Ballard Simon continues.

1) Is the 2026 golf tournament canceled?

The April 2026 tournament will not be held. We are not able to confirm an alternative date at this time.

2) Will there be a fundraiser later in the year?

Possibly. If circumstances allow, we may host a fundraiser later in 2026. Updates will be shared if plans move forward.

3) Will scholarships still be awarded in 2026?

Yes. Scholarships will continue to be awarded in honor of Ida Ballard Simon.

4) When will the 2026 IBS Scholarship Application be available?

The 2026 Scholarship Application will be published in March 2026

5) Why isn’t the tournament happening in April?

Our family is navigating an ongoing health situation that makes it difficult to responsibly plan an event at this time.

6) Can donations still be made?

Yes. Supporters who wish to contribute to the scholarship mission may do so year-round at ballardfamilysite.org

7) When will we hear more?
